Hi Mark,
Stephen Colbert uses the term 'vegemites'. I don't think he is aware of the term as used famously in Australia. The product 'vegemite' is a yeast extract spread popular in Australia and for Australians is what peanut butter is to Americans.

[Like many Americans, I became familiar with the yeasty product from that "Men with Hats" song... I agree that he might not be aware of the product. Anyway, love the way he handled that Meat Institute President... Best, Mark]
