Over the weekend, I had some time off to go up to the annual "Apple Harvest Festival" in Southern Pennsylvania with parents and nieces. Quite the time, but hard to find something non-fat and vegan to eat. I found the "fresh cinnamin applesauce without sugar" delicious. On the other end of the spectrum and array of apple-based foods (apple sausage, apple pizza, apple fritters, apple apple) was the high-end menu at "The Happy Belly." I was in a hurry and this photo of the menu isn't the greatest (click on it to see a larger version). The establishment offers fried oreos, fried whoopee pies, fried pickles, fried ribbon curls (huge curls of potatos), and that all-time favorite, fried mac'n'cheese. I actually asked for fried water with a straight face and they were confused!
"Happy Belly" indeed... more like "Unhappy Heart."
I love that part about the fried water. This is great. Haha.
